HeadHunters Hiring Recruitment

Headhunters vs solo Job Posting

Why rely on Headhunters? Why job postings from companies often do not receive the expected applications?

The answer is much simpler than we think:

  1. it is possible that suitable talents for a specific role have not seen the open positions
  2. they may have seen the vacancy but may hesitate to apply due to the fear of losing their anonymity and having therefore problems in their current company.

How can a company prevent this from happening? Let us share a story.

A company in the construction sector published various job advertisements and offers, the time passed by, and they reached no result. Theyy were not receiving the resumes of the desired profile.

Finally, that company decided to ask us – Professional Headhunters – to support them in their search of a #ProjectManager.

The decision to rely on a Head Hunter is usually driven by the awareness of not having either the right tools or the expertise to complete the recruitment process. Here is when the headhunters make a difference: they activate the direct search strategy. In other words, they effectively look for passive talents.

So what happened to the construction company of the story? How they did manage to hire a good fit?

The #HeadHunters at ARU, through direct “headhunting,” first mapped the target companies (competitors) and then directly contacted candidates whose profile matched the offered role. The headhunters appropriarly presented the client company and the professional project to the candidates, explaining the benefits, advantages, and potential development. ARU was able to select several PMs who then became interested in the position. The client met the candidates, including the one they successfully hired.

Direct search is a strategy aimed at uncovering the so called “dormant candidates,” who have all the characteristics to successfully fill in the role but do not actively look for a job and therefore need to be “intercepted” and motivated to make a change.

Have you ever thought about how many different strategies can be employed in a recruitment search?
